Reliance Jio is reportedly trialling the interoperability between 4G VoLTE and 5G VoNR, after having showcased some use cases powered by the 5G trial airwaves. The trial includes seamless interoperability between existing 4G voice and video capable devices with enhanced 5G voice and video devices using our 5G network.

Meanwhile, the telco is also looking to offer 5G-as-a-Service to industries and enterprises with its compact and scalable 5G solution, Jio 5G Hyperlite Stack, built using indigenous 5G technology, besides developing a 5G Network Slicing Platform (NSP) which will enable it to offer Network Slicing-as-a-Service.

Further, Reliance Strategic Business Ventures (RSBVL), a wholly-owned unit of Reliance Industries (RIL), is planning to invest Rs 16.70 billion to form an electronics manufacturing joint venture (JV) with US-based Sanmina Corporation which will mainly produce 4G and 5G telecom network equipment for local and overseas markets.
