Jio Platforms, the telecom and digital arm of Reliance Industries, is developing an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered personal computer in the cloud that can function with any consumer screen, enabling users to create compute-intensive AI applications.
The company emphasises that businesses which do not adopt AI and rethink their operations risk an uncertain future. However, Jio asserts that while AI will significantly reshape the job market, it will not replace jobs entirely.
Further, Jio’s platform-based strategy is facilitating the rapid and cost-effective scaling of its solutions to millions of users in India. Jio Brain, which provides machine learning (ML) as a service for enterprises, eliminates the need for expensive infrastructure to develop AI applications. Additionally, JioTele OS, designed to connect smart TVs, aims to reach 100 million users in the shortest time possible.
