According to a report by Opensignal, Reliance Jio is consistently maintaining service quality for its 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) and mobile services.

The report noted that this is because Jio has deployed 5G standalone (SA) and is using a dedicated network slice to provide 5G FWA service which helps with managing network congestion even though the average JioAirFiber user consumes around 400GB of data every month.

It added that Jio has demonstrated its confidence in network capacity with the recent launch of a plan that includes 15 streaming applications with fixed broadband packages which highlights its ability to handle the additional load coming from video streaming.

Furthermore, both Jio and Bharti Airtel launched their 5G fixed broadband services in 2023 in key metros such as Delhi and Mumbai at affordable rates. Every Jio AirFiber and AirFiber Max plan includes a Wi-Firouter at no extra cost. Irrespective of the Jio AirFiber plan a user opts for, the company charges Rs 1,000 for installing an outdoor unit. However, as per Opensignal, this fee can be waived off in case the user opts for an annual payment.
