Jio Haptik and IDfy have partnered to develop a solution to allow companies to onboard users and partners and complete the end-to-end know-your-customer (KYC) process on WhatsApp.

With Haptik‘s GPT bot-powered messaging capabilities, businesses can now receive personalised notifications to re-engage and nudge users to complete pending KYC on WhatsApp. IDfy’s advanced application programming interface (APIs), on the other hand, leverage artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) algorithms to extract information from documents, detect tampering, verify ID details against official databases, compare faces across pictures, and run criminal record checks, creating a verification process.

Loan applications and merchant onboarding will also be the use cases for the platform. The main focus of this partnership is to streamline support while ensuring convenience and customer satisfaction. Meanwhile, the chief product officer at IDfy, Paritosh Desai stated that the company’s vision is to increase its user base with products and provide seamless user journeys.
