IVK Mobile has introduced the Android-based Xplode smartphone.

The device packs in a 3.5 inch screen, a 2 megapixel camera and is powered by the ARM Cortex-A5 processor.

It also houses 16 GB of internal memory storage, supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies and is priced at
Rs 4, 900.

Commenting on the launch, Ashwani Kumar Dosaj, chief executive officer, IVK Mobile, says, “Only a few years ago, smartphone users were considered early adopters. But, with half the population now preferring smartphones vis-a-vis basic devices, we thought of bringing XPLODE to Indian market. Our aim is to serve the demand of an affordable Smartphone in rural and semi urban India with Xplode. We believe it will create a new benchmark in Indian handset market.”
