State-owned ITI Limited has entered into a strategic alliance with BSNL for building a VSAT-based network in Ku band for broadband services. Also, the company is set to become the country’s first 3G equipment manufacturer next year. The initial capacity of the Rae Bareli plant, which is 3 million lines per year, would be doubled in the coming year, augmenting the total capacity at Mankapur and Rae Bareli (both in Uttar Pradesh) to more than 10 million lines.
