As per NASSCOM, the growth of the Indian IT industry is expected to slow down to 7.7 per cent in the fiscal year 2020 as compared to 8.1 per cent in the previous year.

Further, as per the association, the Indian IT industry is slated to grow to $350 billion by 2025, from the present $191 billion. This is primarily driven by increased growth in digital initiatives and higher spends by global Fortune 500 clients.

Separately, NASSCOM has joined hands with the Maharashtra government to launch a 50,000 square feet startup warehouse in Andheri. NASSCOM is also creating centres of excellence iointly with state governments across key areas such as big data, analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and cyber security.
