What innovative use cases have emerged for technologies such as AI/ML, AR/XR/MR and IoT in education? How are these technologies enhancing the learning environment?

AI/ML in the edtech sector can contribute to personalised learning paths for learners and predictive analytics for managing learning progress. Meanwhile, AR/extended reality (XR)/mixed reality can provide immersive experiences through virtual labs and historical explorations. Also, IoT solutions can contribute to smart classroom design and real-time monitoring.

What ICT tools and platforms has your organisation implemented to enhance digital learning experiences? What are the main challenges faced while deploying new-age technologies? How are they being addressed?

Our organisation has implemented learning management system (LMS) platforms for day-to-day management of the students’ learning progress, collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and Google Meet, AI-driven adaptive learning platforms and auto-graders for programming courses, smart projectors, graphics processing units (GPUs), processing labs, etc.

However, the main challenges to implement ICT and advanced technology include technical infrastructure limitations, digital literacy gaps, cost constraints, data privacy concerns and resistance to change. These can be addressed by investing in infrastructure upgrades, providing comprehensive training programmes, leveraging cost-effective and open-source solutions, implementing robust cybersecurity measures and conducting pilot programmes to analyse the outcomes and take feedback.

As remote and hybrid learning models continue to evolve, what are the key technological advancements you foresee shaping the future of education? How are you preparing to integrate these into your platform?

The use of AI tools and technology for personalised learning, gamification to motivate learners to perform well, AR/VR for immersive experiences, IoT for smart classrooms, blockchain for secure credentialing, industry connectivity through hybrid interactions to bridge the academia-industry gap and high-speed internet for enhanced connectivity are the key technological advancements.

We have scalable cloud infrastructure named university management system (UMS). We provide comprehensive training on niche technologies to faculty members and students. To provide a diverse and competitive learning environment, we integrated massive open online courses (MOOCs) and auto-grader platforms into the academic progress of our students’ learning.
