Indus Towers Limited has powered 20,000 tower sites across 15 telecom circles using non-polluting energy sources. As of March 2013, the company has successfully converted 20 per cent of its infrastructure into green sites.
The tower infrastructure company is powering its telecom sites using green energy solution as part of its campaign titled, ?Indus Towers Green Sites Project.? As part of the project the organisation aims to reduce carbon footprint by using green fuel.
At present, the company has adopted 100 per cent green solutions at sites in six major cities. These sites are not being powered by diesel instead rely solely on grid power and other non-polluting sources of energy to operate.
