The board of directors of Indus Towers Limited has appointed Prachur Sah as the managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) of the company, as well as an additional director, with effect from January 3, 2023 for a period of five years.
The appointment, subject to the approval of the company’s shareholders, comes after the previous MD and CEO, Bimal Dayal, resigned from the post to join Adani Transmission as the CEO from October 1, 2022.
An electrical engineer from IIT Bombay, Sah is currently the CEO of the oil and gas vertical of Vedanta Limited. As an oil and gas industry leader, he carries experience across two models in the sector – upstream asset development and management; and upstream engineering and technology services. In his current role, Sah has been handling a P&L with revenue of more than $7 billion and is instrumental in leading the next phase of organisational growth with a focus on delivering volumes, cost, growth projects, R&R, and monetisation (new blocks).
