Indus Towers has appointed Bimal Dayal as chief executive officer (CEO)-designate. He will succeed B.S. Shantharaju, who will retire on March 31, 2016. Dayal has been working at Indus Towers since 2010 as chief operating officer. Prior to this, he has worked at Ericsson, Qualcomm and Tata Telecom in a number of senior management positions. As managing director (MD) at Ericsson in Sri Lanka, Dayal played a pivotal role in making it a key player in the telecom infrastructure industry.
