Indonesian CDMA mobile operator Smart Telecom has awarded ZTE a contract for supplying network infrastructure equipment.
ZTE, which has already secured a 1xEV-DO Rev. B upgrade contract for Bali, has been appointed Smart’s exclusive supplier of 6,000-plus base transceiver stations with a capacity for 25 million subscribers. The contract involves wireless solutions, transmission and core network products, business platform systems, power supplies and other ancillary equipment.
