The Indian government has banned an additional 47 apps that were clones of the 59 apps banned last month. The list of these 47 banned apps will be released soon.

As per industry sources, this decision has been taken after a security review by the ministry of telecommunication.

At present, over 275 Chinese apps are under scrutiny for alleged violation of national security and citizens privacy.  The latest list reportedly includes Tencent-backed gaming app PUBG, AliExpress, ByteDance’s Resso and ULike, etc.
