INDIAai and Meta India have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a framework for collaboration and cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies.
The aim of this partnership is to have joint research and development missions which will tackle large-scale challenges by using AI technologies like Llama, Massively Multilingual Speech and No Language Left Behind. Both organisations will also consider establishing a centre to nurture the Indian startup ecosystem in these fields.
This effort will foster social inclusion. improve government service delivery and spur innovation using large language models, cognitive systems, translation models and generative AI. Further, the companies will also work on promoting responsible AI practices through the collaborative development of comprehensive tools and guidelines.
