According to the government, the India-US global strategic partnership has scaled new heights, including in areas of technology and defence.
Jake Sullivan, National Security Advisor, the US, has held wide-ranging talks with his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval and S Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister, discussing the implementation of the US-India Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology (iCET).
The iCET, launched in May 2022, aims to enhance collaboration between India and the US in critical technologies. The two nations had unveiled transformative initiatives to deepen cooperation in semiconductor, critical minerals, advanced telecommunication, and defense space.
