According to the Internet Society Pulse Country Report, India has secured the second position in Asia in 2023 for the highest number of internet exchange points (IXPs) per country.
This marks a significant milestone in India’s commitment to adopting advanced technologies and addressing the challenges of a connected world.
The report noted that IXPs have a significant impact on improving the digital capabilities of public services, which is crucial for countries like India. Further, IXPs promote local content development and provide incentives for local internet service hosting.
