According to report by Ookla, India recorded the second fastest mean download speed over mobile among the largest South Asian countries during Q3 2020. India was surpassed by Pakistan with 39.7 per cent faster mobile download speed. Meanwhile, Bangladesh was third for download speed and second for upload speed. Further, India recorded the slowest mean upload speed on the list at 4.18 Mbps.

As per the report, India had the highest 4G availability among the largest South Asian countries during Q3 2020 with 93.7 per cent of tested locations showing 4G available according to data from Speedtest coverage scans on Android.

Among operators, Vodafone Idea recorded the fastest mean download and upload speeds during Q3 2020. Airtel followed with a mean download speed of 13.58 Mbps, while Jio recorded a mean download speed of 9.71 Mbps during the period under consideration.

Meanwhile, Reliance Jio had the highest 4G availability among top providers in India at 99.7 per cent during Q3 2020. Jio was followed by Airtel with it 4G network available in 98.7 per cent of tested locations. Vodafone Idea stood third in this parameter with 91.1 per cent.
