On September 15, 2025, the Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology, Information and Broadcasting, and Railways, said that artificial intelligence (AI) will fundamentally transform every facet of life, emphasising the need for India to be among the frontrunners in developing and adopting AI technologies.
Additionally, the minister noted that AI represents the biggest technological shift in recent decades and will have an impact comparable to the internet.
