As per industry sources, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is reaching out to multiple countries to help them build their own payment systems. As part of this mission, India will leverage the stack it has built in the digital payments space.
According to NPCI, different countries need to build their local stacks as every country has its own local diversity, plans and complexities. To this end, India is in talks with regulators globally and is looking forward to helping them build their own payment systems.
Reportedly, India has reached out to as many as 50-60 regulators of other countries’ governments through the Indian missions.
