A report from OpenSignal showed that India ranks among world leaders in the race for 5G deployment, with 29.9 per cent availability. As per the report, South Korea and Puerto Rico lead in the 5G availability with 5G users in these markets, with an active 5G connection and scores of 42.9 per cent and 48.4 per cent respectively. Kuwait ranked third with 39.4 per cent followed by the US with 31.1 per cent.

The report stated that with the recent launch of 5G in India, the new technology has shown decent growth. The data was collected between March 1, 2023 and May 29, 2023. The report also said that the 5G network technology offers much better real-world average download speeds which are considerably faster than average 4G download speeds. OpenSignal also stated that the absolute 5G download speed is extremely fast too with South Korea leading at 432.5      Mbps followed by Singapore at 376.8      Mbps and Malaysia at 322.7      Mbps.

Users across India have seen an increase of 23.4 per cent for video experience and a similar 29.2 per cent improvement in gaming experience, ranking second globally for improvement on that measure.
