In an attempt to expedite the implementation of mobile number portability (MNP), the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), which is now monitoring the MNP preparedness of operators on a weekly basis, has set June 30, 2010 as the deadline for implementing the facility. DoT has made it clear that there will be no further extension of deadline.
