IMS has launched the Study Buddy application for BlackBerry smartphones used by Vodafone India customers, aimed at helping students prepare for competitive exams.
The Study Buddy application offers mock tests for MBA entrance exams and placement tests used by organisations during campus recruitments.
The application offers tests based on variable difficulty levels depending on the preparedness of the candidate. The Study Buddy backend engine has a wide variety of questions in its bank that are randomly selected based on the difficulty levels related to the various entrance exams practiced by a student.
Commenting on the launch, Sunil Dutt, managing director, India, Research In Motion, remarked, ?Using your phone while studying was traditionally viewed as counter-productive, but today we see mobile technology empowering students.
