Idea Cellular plans to launch 4G service in 10 service areas in 2016. Further, on account of planned 4G launch in a phased manner in all the service areas in 2016, Idea Cellular?s capex plan for 2016 has increased six-fold from Rs 10 billion to Rs 60 billion.
According to the operator, in view of a fast evolving 4G ecosystem including availability of a wide range of 4G enabled mobile handsets at affordable prices, Idea Cellular has advanced the rollout of 4G services almost by a year.
