Idea Cellular has declared its financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2012. Its consolidated net profit has increased by 32 per cent from Rs 1.77 billion in the first quarter ended June 30, 2011 to Rs 2.34 billion in the same period during 2012.

The operator?s total consolidated revenue increased by 21.74 per cent from Rs 45.20 billion in the April-June 2011 quarter to Rs 55.03 billion in the corresponding period of 2012.

These numbers include financials of Indus Towers as well in which Idea Cellular has 16 per cent stake.

Also, the company?s net profit stands at Rs 2.39 billion. It has clocked revenue of about Rs 53.69 billion between January-March 2012 quarter.

With 117 million subscribers, Idea Cellular has seen a growth in usage of minutes at 5.3 per cent, generating 131 billion minutes compared to 124 billion minutes in January-March 2012 quarter.
