Idea Cellular has introduced the emergency internet usage service, a credit facility which offers uninterrupted internet browsing to prepaid subscribers in Rajasthan.
As part of the offer, Idea prepaid subscribers who have a balance of less than Rs 2 in their account can avail of up to 50 MB of free internet usage for two days, either by calling 53566, or by dialling *666#, from their mobile phones. Idea users who run out of balance can avail the service by dialling 53566 (toll free) from their Idea number. Rs 5 will be deducted from the user’s account on the subsequent top-up recharge by the operator.
Commenting on the launch, Puneet Krishnan, circle head, Rajasthan, Idea Cellular, says, “The concept of this offer comes from the insight that many subscribers sometimes while surfing internet exhaust their balance amount and are unable to browse further, leading to interruption and inconvenience in browsing experience. With our new service, Idea subscribers can now instantly opt for our internet credit facility when they are not in a position to recharge immediately. I am confident that our offer, which is the first-of-its-kind in Rajasthan, will provide great benefits and convenience to our users.”
