
Idea Cellular has launched a bundled offer in partnership with Microsoft Devices. Under the offer, Idea?s customers will be able to purchase premium applications and games from the Windows Store on their Microsoft Lumia phones as well as other smartphones which use Windows operating system and pay for them through integrated billing.
With the partnership, Idea Cellular has become the first operator in the country to launch integrated operator billing on the Windows Store.
The consumers will be able to purchase applications worth Rs 300 and will have to complete the transaction in a two-step authorisation process to ensure security of the transaction. The amount will be then either added to the subscriber’s monthly bill or deducted from the prepaid balance, depending on the plan.
Meanwhile, Microsoft Devices is planning to launch similar services in collaboration with other telecom operators as well. The company believes that such a service will help customers who do not have credit cards or are not comfortable using them for online transactions.
