Idea Cellular continues to expand its 3G footprint across the country.
The operator has now launched 3G services in the Idukki district, including the towns in high ranges. The towns include Adimali, Munnar, Kattapana, Thekkady, Mayiladumpara, Anakara, Cheruthony, Kumily, Thadiyampadu and Nedumkandam.
With this, the operator has over 7.3 million subscribers including 1.3 million 3G subscribers and 1,700 3G cell sites in Kerala.
Commenting on the launch, Minu Verghese, circle head, Kerala, Idea Cellular said, ?The company has now strengthened its leadership position both in terms of revenue and customer market share. Idea is the highest penetrated mobile network in the circle, reaching out to over 97 per cent of the population.?
