The India Cellular and Electronics Association (ICEA) has called for industrial electronics to be treated as a national priority, citing its importance in achieving the country’s $500 billion electronics manufacturing target by 2030-31.

The association emphasised the need to locally produce electronics that will drive automation across factories, urban infrastructure, and transportation systems.

ICEA also highlighted the significant potential of industrial electronics to generate high-skilled employment, especially in fields like embedded systems, automation software, robotics, and artificial intelligence (AI)-integrated technologies.
