International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) has appointed Stephen Rose as the company’s general manager to lead the Global Telco, Media, Entertainment and Distribution vertical.

In his new role, Rose will be driving P&L delivering technology, products and solutions to communications services providers (CSPs) and enterprise clients. Rose is taking over from Steve Canepa, who is now the general manager of IBM Global Industries. Rose will report to Canepa.

Rose was associated with Nokia Bell Labs where he was responsible for the company’s global telco practice, working across the C-Suite of CSPs, CSP for enterprise, TMT Investors and Regulators. Prior to starting his stint at Nokia in 2010, Rose worked at Western Wireless and LCC, a Tech Mahindra company.
