The Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) has appointed Kunal Shah as its new chairman. He succeeds Nishant Rao, who recently moved to Chennai-based customer support software firm Freshdesk as global CEO. Shah had co-founded the digital payment platform, FreeCharge, in August 2010. IAMAI has also appointed Vishwas Patel as the new treasurer. He is the founder and CEO of Avenues India Private Limited, a payment gateway service provider.
