Hutchison Telecommunications International Limited (HTIL) has invited bids for its majority stake (51 per cent) in Israel-based mobile service provider Partner Communications and has asked potential bidders to submit non-binding indications of interest.

The Hong Kong-based mobile service provider is looking at the move in order to benefit from a 15 per cent rebound in Partner’s stock since March 2009, and to avoid rising competition in the Middle Eastern country. So far, according to reports, Israelbased Scailex Corporation is among the players interested in acquiring the stake.
