Hutchison has stopped offering Push-to-Talk services to its subscribers following a TRAI directive questioning its services.
The company is withdrawing all promotional material from the market and is awaiting approval from the licensor before offering such services in the future. According to the authority, the company has not been able to clarify many issues related to licensing raised with the service earlier. TRAI also claims that the services being offered currently are not in real time and are of the “store” and “forward” kind. They are different from the Push-to-Talk services being offered in other parts of the world.
