Hutchison Essar has entered into a five-year agreement with Nokia to run Hutchison’s networks in nine of its 13 telecom circles. The deal is worth $60 million and would reportedly involve the permanent transfer of 600 Hutchison staff to its services business unit.

Under the agreement, Nokia will provide a range of solutions, including network planning, project management, configuration and optimisation, network operations and maintenance, and administration of third-party networks for Hutch.
