Huawei Technologies has won a $187 million 3G mobile network order from Thailand’s state-owned telecom operator, CAT Telecom. Under the deal, Huawei is to upgrade CAT’s existing CDMA network to cover 51 provinces and 2.3 million users. The network currently covers Bangkok and another 25 provinces, and caters to about 700,000 users.
