Huawei Technologies’ subsidiary Huawei Marine Networks has signed a turnkey contract with Indonesia’s PT Telekomunikasi (Telkom) to build the operator’s new submarine cable system.

Huawei Technologies’ subsidiary Huawei Marine Networks has signed a turnkey contract with Indonesia’s PT Telekomunikasi (Telkom) to build the operator’s new submarine cable system. The project involves connecting five islands in eastern Indonesia spanning 1,200 km, with an initial capacity of 4×10 Gbps. It is scheduled for completion by end-2010.
