Huawei Technologies is exploring the option of setting up a manufacturing base for terminals in India. It is considering an entry into the direct retail sales segment, and is exploring the possibility of supplying GSM phones to operators such as Bharti Airtel and Vodafone. Huawei is likely to launch a slew of products including handsets in India shortly.
