Huawei Technologies has been selected by Bulgaria-based telecom operator Trans Telecom to deploy a commercial Wi-Max network,covering central business districts and hotspots in Bulgaria’s major cities.

Huawei Technologies has been selected by Bulgaria-based telecom operator Trans Telecom to deploy a commercial Wi-Max network, covering central business districts and hotspots in Bulgaria’s major cities. According to the terms of the contract, Huawei will supply an end-to-end 16e-based Wi-Max solution operating on a 3.5 GHz frequency band to Trans Telecom. It will also upgrade Trans Telecom’s central exchange equipment. Huawei’s 16e-based WiMax solution will enable Trans Telecom to integrate the most advanced technologies such as multiple input, multiple output and orthogonal frequency division multiple access.
