Huawei Technologies has been awarded a contract by China Telecom to build China’s first 40G wavelength division multiplexing transmission network between Shanghai and Wuxi.

Huawei Technologies has been awarded a contract by China Telecom to build China’s first 40G wavelength division multiplexing transmission network between Shanghai and Wuxi. According tothe terms of the contract, Huawei will provide China Telecom with an ultra high capacity 80 wavelengths x 40G transmission solution capable of hybrid transmission, to address the latter’s internet bandwidth requirements. Huawei has already introduced the 40G solution, and it has been deployed in Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific region.
