Huawei Technologies, China’s largest telecom equipment maker, has posted contract sales of $8.25 billion in 2005 and is aiming for 30 per cent growth this year amid a major export drive. Of last year’s total, $4.76 billion of the company’s contract sales came from exports. The total contract sales figure for 2005 was up 50 per cent over the previous year, while exports doubled. Huawei expects exports to grow faster than domestic sales.
