China-based telecom equipment and handset manufacturer, Huawei is planning to invest $10 million in India for increasing its presence in the country?s smartphone market in 2015. The company has earmarked around 50 per cent of the total planned investment for the establishment of an e-commerce facility in Bengaluru for promotion and marketing of its Honor smartphones.

With this investment, Huawei is targeting a market share of two per cent in the Indian smartphone market by selling around two million Honor smartphones by end-2015. Meanwhile, the company is planning to launch more 4G-LTE smartphones in India in 2015 under the Honor brand, including the Honor 4X.
