As per industry sources, Huawei and ZTE have appointed respective nodal officers to coordinate with telecom operators and the office of the National Cyber Security Coordinator (NCSC) to share details about telecom equipment that telecom operators may agree to buy from it.
The two companies are believed to be in approval seeking process right now.
The two China based telecom gear makers are also seeking access to the Indian government’s ‘Trusted Portal’ which went live recently.
