HTC India is in the process of adopting a more targeted approach and plans to increase its marketing spend in the Indian market significantly. The increase in its marketing budget is aimed at pushing up sales of company?s smartphones in India.

HTC India considers India as one of the key telecom markets in South Asia. Targeting specific segments, HTC India is in the process of highlighting its key selling points amongst Indian consumers. In fact, the smartphone maker is exploring the option of roping in a brand ambassador for promoting its brand in India.

Further, the company plans to strengthen its product portfolio with the launch of 4G-enabled handsets. HTC India is expected to introduce 4G handsets by mid-2014. In its efforts to consolidate its presence in the country, the company will also be establishing about 3,500 new outlets over the next six months.
