Hong Kong Broadband Network (HKBN), a wholly owned sub-sidiary of Hong Kong’s City Telecom, has launched a symmetric 1 Gbps broadband service priced at $26 per month. Alcatel-Lucent has provided HKBN with its gigabit passive optical network solution for the new service that is targeted at the residential market.
