Hong Kong-based Hutchison Telecommunications International Limited (HTIL) and Thailand-based telecom service provider Cat Telecom are reportedly close to sealing a deal to consolidate their operations under the brand name Hutch.

Hong Kong-based Hutchison Telecommunications International Limited (HTIL) and Thailand-based telecom service provider Cat Telecom are reportedly close to sealing a deal to consolidate their operations under the brand name Hutch. The contract will integrate HTIL’s CDMA mobile phone network in 25 central provinces in Hong Kong with Cat Telecom’s network in the remaining 51 provinces. The contract will expire in 2015.
