According to a regulatory filing, Himachal Futuristic Communications Limited (HFCL), along with its subsidiary, Hindustan Teleprinters Limited (HTL), has received purchase orders aggregating to approximately Rs 2.03 billion from Reliance Retail; Reliance Projects and Property Management Services; and an overseas customer for the supply of optical fibre cables (OFC).

Of the total amount, approximately Rs 1.68 billion worth of purchase order have been received from Reliance Retail Limited and Reliance Projects and Property Management Services Limited, while the remaining Rs 350 million worth of purchase order has been received from one of the overseas customer for supply of various types of OFC and its related accessories. As per the regulatory filing, the deals will be executed by March 2023.

Besides, in a separate regulatory filing HFCL unveiled that it has opened a new polymer compounding facility as backward integration at its Hosur plant in Tamil Nadu for manufacturing of polyolefin-based compounds of various grades and colours which are required as raw material for manufacturing of OFCs.
