HFCL Limited has secured purchased orders aggregating to Rs 826 million for the supply of optical fibre cables (OFCs) to a leading telecom service provider (TSP) in India.
According to a regulatory filing by HFCL, the contract is expected to be executed by November 2023.
Further, as per the company’s annual report FY23, the expansion of OFC manufacturing capacities from 10 million fibre km (fkm) to 33.90 million fkm is progressing well and shall be operational as planned. The company is also expanding its OFC production capacity from 25 million fkm to 35 million fkm, leading to a significant increase in revenue and profitability. The capacity will be added in a phased manner, with the completion targeted by FY25.
