HFCL Limited has bagged a deal worth Rs 10.15 billion from the Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam (MPJN) to provide its engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services including provision for laying of optical fibre cables (OFC) on critical and important routes, for the execution of the multi-village drinking water supply network in the Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh.

The installation of OFCs in these areas is expected to enhance its operation and maintenance of the network. The project will be executed within 24 months from the date of the order, with the former collaborating with Khilari Infrastructure Private Limited as a consortium partner.

As per the company, upon successful commissioning of the project, a three month trial run will be conducted, following which the company will provide operation and maintenance services for ten years including defect liability period of one year which will run concurrently.
