With 15 years of experience in the networking domain, Harpreet Singh is the senior vice president, networking and Wi-Fi (engineering) at VVDN Technologies. He heads a business unit for product design, development and delivery in the networking and Wi-Fi space. Singh manages end-to-end profit and loss while shaping product strategy, driving strong customer engagement and ensuring seamless execution. His role spans both embedded software and hardware development, with a focus on creating innovative and scalable solutions that address the evolving needs of global original equipment manufacturers.
Singh emphasises that the industry’s priority is to deliver high-capacity, low-latency wireless connectivity capable of powering immersive applications, large-scale internet of thing ecosystems and next-generation smart infrastructure. According to him, AI is playing a transformative role by enabling predictive analytics, automated threat detection and intelligent traffic optimisation in network management. He also points to a clear shift toward converged connectivity models, where Wi-Fi, 5G and edge computing work in unison to create seamless user experiences. Beyond telecom, Singh highlights a growing focus on networking solutions for industries such as aerospace and data centres. While embracing Wi-Fi 7, advanced switches and AI-driven embedded software opens up tremendous opportunities, he adds that success will depend on balancing innovation with sustained research and development, resilient supply chains and cost competitiveness. He further adds that initiatives such as “Design and Make-in-India” position the country as a hub for globally competitive solutions.
He believes in a collaborative and empowering leadership style, setting clear goals, encouraging ownership and promoting continuous learning. For him, the most rewarding part is working alongside talented teams to turn challenges into solutions that push the boundaries of networking and connectivity. He mentions, “I lead by example, demonstrating accountability, commitment and transparency in every situation. This approach helps build trust and motivates my teams to take initiative, deliver their best performance and continue growing in their roles.”
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College of Engineering and Technology. In his free time, he enjoys keeping up with emerging technologies, which keeps him curious and connected to new ideas, while also spending quality time with his family and practicing yoga. He lives with his parents; his wife, who is also an engineer; and their son.
