Gurdeep Singh, chief operating officer, Aircel, has reportedly resigned his post. His resignation follows that of Malickarjun Rao, group chief technology officer (CTO).

Singh will be replaced by Jean Pascal, who is COO, Maxis Communications Berhad.

The operator has appointed A. Mukhopadhyay, a former telecoms consultant at Huawei, as a consultant for technical matters. He will work closely with Sudhir Mathur, CFO, who oversees the networks operation.

Aircel had recently divided its businesses into two functions, the operations division and the networks division. The former, which handles the company’s go-to-markets strategy, branding and markets expansion, will now be headed by Pascal. The latter, which involves managing the operator?s active infrastructure, is overseen by CFO, Sudhir Mathur.
