The GSM Association (GSMA) has appointed Manoj Misra as senior public policy director for India. He will work to ­identify opportunities in the mobile industry in India and will report to Emanuela Lecchi, head of public policy, Asia Pacific. Prior to this appointment, Misra was GM and head, ­regulatory and external affairs at Vodafone India. In the past, he has also worked as deputy adviser at the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
